Hard cheeses have the least amount of lactose and hence they are more keto-friendly. On the other hand, soft ones like cottage cheese and Velveeta have more than 3g net carbs per serving!
Full-fat cheese made using grass-fed dairy is an ideal pick on keto. Avoid low-fat versions as they tend to have much higher carbs.
