Braum’s is known for its wide range of soft-serve ice creams. It offers over 120 flavors of icecreams, frozen yogurt, and sherbet that are available on a regular or rotator basis. But are Braum’s ice-creams gluten-free?
According to the information on their website, Braum’s doesn’t have a list of gluten-free items. They suggest choosing ice creams and sundaes without any baked products in them.
If you’ve celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity, you should be extra careful while ordering things from Braum’s. It’s because they run a bakery inside their store that can cross-contaminate even the non-gluten items.

Braum’s has separate departments to sell different types of food items on their menu. For example, Braum’s Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.
Such as burritos, bagel omelets, bagel sandwiches, burgers, chicken products, salads, and specialties.
Braum’s Fountain serves a variety of ice creams, frozen yogurts, milkshakes, and sherbets. They also have a no-sugar range of ice creams.
The regular flavors are always available in the store, whereas the rotators are available every 3-4 weeks.
And Braum’s Fresh Market serves freshly made dairy products, bakery items, meat, fruits, and vegetables. Braum’s make everything they sell themselves, every day in-house.
For example, Braum’s dairy products such as cheese and yogurt are made with A2 cow milk which is produced by their cows. And their baked goods such as bagels, buns, loaves of bread, etc. are made in their in-house bakery.
In terms of Gluten-free, nothing on Braum’s menu is labeled gluten-free. They don’t have a dedicated gluten-free menu or list, nor any indication for gluten-free items.
You’ll have to look at the ingredients list of each item to tell whether or not they’re gluten-free. To make it easy, I’ve listed the items you can order risk-free. Hint: they’re frozen dairy products.
Here are some gluten-friendly items you can try at Braum’s. The availability of these items may depend on whether they’re regular or rotatory products.
#1. Premium Banana Pecan
As the name suggests, this ice cream is made with Bananas and pecans. The chunky pecans are combined with frozen banana cream which is made with Grade A whole milk.
#2. Premium Bordeaux Cherry Amaretto
This ice cream has an attractive purple color. It comes topped with almonds and Black cherries.
#3. Premium Butter Brickle
This flavor of ice cream has a light yellow color and comes topped with Butter Brickle candies.
#4. Premium Butter Pecan
The Butter Pecan ice cream has a light yellow color and slow-roasted pecans added to it.
#5. Premium Cappuccino Chunky Chocolate
This ice cream has a cappuccino base, which also gives it its color, and chunky chocolate chips are added to it.
#6. Chocolate ice cream bars
This is a pack of 12 chocolate ice cream bars that are covered with a thick and crunchy layer of chocolates. These bars are also available in Vanilla flavor.
Braum’s Fruit Pops are a pack of 24 popsicles that come in grape, orange, and cherry flavors.

These are vanilla-flavored frozen yogurt bars that are coated with chocolate, have no sugar, and are 94% fat-free.
#9. Pecan Caramel Fudge Sundaes
The Pecan Caramel Fudge Sundaes are vanilla ice creams topped with caramel and pecan and covered with chocolate.
Apart from these, they also have ice cream cups in vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavor. There is no wheat flour used in their making, however, confirm with the staff before ordering them.

The Toffee Bark is a blend of frozen yogurt, toffee candy, and milk chocolate and has a yellow hue.
#11. Coconut Chocolate Walnut
The frozen yogurt is made with a blend of coconut and walnut and has ribbons of chocolate on top.
#12. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup
This variety is a blend of chocolate frozen yogurt, chocolate chips, and peanut butter.

Braum’s breakfast has different kinds of burritos, bagel omelets, and plates that are high in gluten. So, stay away from those.
Braum’s has different kinds of chicken hamburgers and combo meals, but the chicken is breaded. Hence, it’s not gluten-free. However, you can order a grilled chicken instead of fried ones.
Ask the server to scoop out your ice creams from a different container using a different scooper. It’ll eliminate the chances of cross-contamination.
